Offered under: Holistic Clinical Counselling
A focused, intentional state of awareness used to support deeper emotional and subconscious work.
Clinical hypnotherapy at The Minds Matter is not a separate service you book on its own.
It is a modality we may use within Holistic Clinical Counselling when it feels supportive, safe, and aligned with your goals.
All hypnotherapy work:
You’re awake, aware, and in control the entire time — we’re simply engaging with your mind in a slightly different way.

Hypnotherapy is a state of focused attention — the kind you experience when you’re deeply absorbed in:
In therapeutic work, we intentionally guide your mind into a similar state of focus so you can connect with your inner world with more clarity and less distraction.
Clinically, this looks like:
You stay aware the whole time.
You can speak, ask questions, pause, or slow down. You can even take a quick bathroom break or answer the door — this is your space.

Clear answers about what to expect in hypnotherapy with The Minds Matter
No — not at all.
You’ll be aware the whole time, just in a more relaxed, “cruising” kind of state of mind. You stay connected to the world around you, aware of your surroundings, and able to speak, move, ask questions, or pause at any point.
Nothing happens without your consent, and you remain in charge throughout.
Yes.
Hypnotherapy works with a natural state your mind already knows how to enter — a state of gentle inward focus. When used by a trained, regulated practitioner, it’s a safe, supportive, and well-paced way to explore what’s happening beneath the surface.
We go slowly, and you set the pace.
You don’t have to know in advance whether hypnotherapy is the right fit — that’s something we can explore together.
If you’d like clarity, we can map out what you’re navigating and whether this approach feels aligned for you.
